I have *very* fond memories of this place.
Anyone else?

Ah, I was about to say I've never heard of that, but that sounds awesome.

Ah, I was about to say I've never heard of that, but that sounds awesome. ...my thing, as a 7-year-old, was to go sit in the Carnation truck until they kicked me out, then go to the tobacco shop and enjoy the smell of pipe tobacco... before going on any of the *attractions*. (...full disclosure... I once worked for Disney...)

There is a Disney Tobacciana Collection facebook page that is quite interesting. Shows the tobacco shop, pipes, and lots of other stuff.

Good post is right. The world keeps, 'progressing', but that doesn't mean I like it. I guess that topic belongs in another forum. Meanwhile, how cool was that! I went to Disney World in the late 1980s, but I don't remember if they had one.

imagine the 'horror' and public outcry if they were to reinstitute it today.

I was at shops in the Florida and SoCal parks in the 80's. I got a couple of sticks I probably still have the bands and matches. I think they were gone the last time we visited in the late 1990's. We have a Grandchild on the way I can can't wait to take them to Disney!

My parents brought this back from Disneyworld for me in the mid 70's.

The funny thing is that even though I've been smoking pipes since 1970 I had Prince Albert for the first time last summer. I smoked most of the OTC's available from 1970 to today but never got around to the Prince.
