This next pipe, I bought back at the beginning of the year.
Not many people are familiar with Ronny Thuner, a Swedish pipe carver, because he has not carved any pipes in several years. About ten years ago, Ronny was getting a lot of notice as an up and coming Scandinavian artisan pipe maker. He even received some of Bo Nordh's tools after Bo passed away. I really love how Ronny was able to get beautiful flowing curves while following the grain in his freehand pipe shapes. Beautiful pipes that smoke great! I'd love to come across one of Ronny's Cobras for sale some day.
I had 3 Ronny Thuner pipes in my collection already when I ran across this lightly used estate spot rusticated Acorn on SP for less than 25% what Ronny's pipes typically cost new. It took me milliseconds to hit "Add to Cart".
