For the first time ever, I cracked open a tin of Sutliff Molto Doce today. Wow, what a nice tobacco. With flavors that I can truly identify so well that I could do a review of it. Nice tones of Honey and Caramel. Burns well, tastes great. My only complaint would be that, while it smokes well, it has a goopy texture, reminiscent of the PG found in Boswell and/or Captain Black tobaccos. Overall, a must try for any pipe smoker looking for a real treat.

I think it may be similar if not the same (I'll find out) as Dulce Le Leche. I just bought a pound

David, all that I can say is try this stuff! It is really nice. oh, indeed I have. I will be comparing the two when the Dulce. I bought a pound as I was buying another pound of a McC blend. I had wanted a straight Red Va, as I had never tried one. While I was shopping, two of my items went out of stock during those minutes and the same on SPC. I buy up blends I like because I don't want to have to find them later. If I know a tobacco is going out of circulation I usually won't bite. As to Molto, I have four tins, I think. Now if Sutliff went anywhere I would be changing my underwear every five minutes

I recently started smoking Molto Dolce and it is very tasty. I usually dry it for a good hour before loading my pipe. It has flavors right from the get go and it stays constant right to the end. I am not a big aromatic smoker but I do get a sweet tooth at times. I also like smoking Cult Blood Red Moon, that has a ton of flavor as well.

glad you are enjoying it. it is a blend that is easy to go overboard on, after initial discovery, so pacing works for me. have read numerous posts of burnout on this blend.

Unfortunately something in the topping with Molto and Cult messes with my allergies for some reason. That is the why I do not smoke many aros. I do recommend Black Gold by Highland's Cigars. I assume it is still available but I haven't bought any for a while. It literally tastes like a dark chocolate brownie but isn't as goopy or topped as some of the other aros.

Molto has become a very popular blend since its introduction. For lovers of Cult Blood Red Moon you may want to try Lane's TK-6. I've been told by a very reliable source that it's the same blend repackaged for Cult. I'd be curious to hear opinions about that.

I get zero chocolate from TK-6 and the cherry content is not the same to my palate.

I've smoked neither but had a conversation about Red Moon with a blender who made the comment to me. Thanks for your comments as it helps clear things up for me.

I didn't comment when you posted this before, not wanting to contradict a mod, but if a statement is repeated often enough on the Internet, it becomes a fact.

When I first discovered Molto Dolce I thought it was the best thing I had ever tasted. Now, it has been moved to the back of the rotation. It is much better as an occasional smoke than everyday. I love butter pecan ice cream, but if I eat it every day it soon becomes disgusting. After you smoke some lighter aros, you can start to taste the artificial flavor of MD. Once or twice a month and it still tastes good.

truc, don't let my being a mod stand in the way of offering an opinion. I'm still learning too. It's all good.

Not recommending it as your standalone smoke, but for the rotation, it really is pretty good. Give it a try!

if you haven't tried it already, Sutliff Crème Brulee in bulk, is similar.
