Having aged McClellands and Strang = Potential monetary gains Keeping and smoking said blends for yourself ... Priceless! I'll be keeping all my Motzek, HU, Germains, McClellands and other Unicorns for enjoyment and sharing with my fellow pipe community. Splendid.

I have ten tins from 2010. That'll do me. Worth at least $11 a tin now.🤓 I paid five bucks each about a year ago from somebody who was selling some tins.

...I've paid "pirate's" prices for tobacco on very few occasions. I buy to smoke, not to invest.

... I buy to smoke, not to invest. Exactly my view as well even knowing some tins are worth 5-10x what I paid currently.

I shouldn't be surprised at these prices but I am...good grief. I am glad that I have what I have and that's all that I have...it is what it is. I have some of all of the froggies and a couple of them I have never tried yet (on the town and across the pond). If by some chance I pop a tin and it's not my thing then I'd rather trade for something than sell. I buy to smoke as well, not turn a profit.

I have some across the pond I have been holding onto while I try to learn the nuances of the Lat. Never tied any of the others so no idea what I missed. I am shocked at the prices being paid.

Watching these prices fly through the roof over at eBay has been something else.

I saw that being listed. That's nuts! Now I'm looking at my stack of tins with infinite tenderness... More proof that P T Barnum was a sage. sable - PT Barnum is one of my personal heroes. I did a report on him back in high school and have never looked back. Cheers!

Some very crazy prices out there on Ebay and other such sites, but then if someone is crazy enough to drop the cash, then there will always be trade!

After applying some serious thought, I've decided to go in the opposite direction. I'll use up my cellar but, going forward, I'll not be chasing hard-to-get tobaccos anymore... I'm sure SWMBO will be pleased.

I'm sure SWMBO will be pleased. I've already admitted to buying three Best of Show Aros when I read the new about a lucky tobacco company who made the grade. Though the news was rather sad, I just had to buy... to add to my supply. Like you, if I actually rotate my tobacco, the cellar itself is its own variety. So, I didn't blow my wallet out in a car when I noticed that supply had changed. That's a day... in my life
