Today's SP column from Chuck Stannion was very different compared to his usual work. I know everyone is tired of hearing about McClelland but to see him talk about it and barely crack a joke really makes it hit home. I was fortunate enough to stock up on some cellar, on the town and on the bayou but I've never even had the pleasure to experience any other McClelland Blends, doubt I will now. To those saying that this is the end of an era, it may be in some sense but pipe smoking has been around for centuries and it will continue to be around long after McClelland. For those true McClelland die-hards, I suppose the only solace I can offer you is that maybe now you will be able to experience some new blends you might not have ever tried otherwise. Anyways just my two cents on the matter.

The object of retail is to supply what customers want at a price they will pay.If there is a demand for something someone will supply it.I liked McClelland tobacco.I smoked a lot of it.I will miss it.I will continue smoking though.
