He did, but before I was born. He switched to cheap machine made cigars: Garcia Vega Bravura. Regular news stand fare.

No, he was a cigarette smoker. My grandfather was a pipe smoker and cheap cigar smoker.

My dad smoked cigarettes but my grandpa on my mom's side smoked a pipe and that is one of the reasons I started up the hobby. He smoked Middleton's and I can remember smelling that in their house as a kid and I thought it was so incredible. My grandpa on my dad's side smoked cigars...white owl invincibles.

Only occasionally. Mostly cigarettes. Couple of his friends did.

No on Dad. Lifelong non-fileter Chesterfields or, if not available, same with Camel. Only pipesmoking relative was Uncle on Mom's side. Only remember him as a child & he did have a nice/small collection of pipes.

My Father, during his Marsh Renavation days, he owned 2 big draglines and farmers paid him to levee marshland for growing rice.

Mine was a pipe smoker almost all his life until he had to give it up for health reasons.

My dad smoked pipes off and on while I was growing up. He was basically a cigarette smoker ( Kents) who also smoked cigars. He loved his Macanudo Prince Phillips.
My grandfather on my mothers side was a pipe smoker. I remember loving the smell when I was a kid and would sit at his feet while he smoked his pipes. I am not sure what type of tobacco he smoked but I have always thought the Mixture 79 label looked familiar.

No. However, my maternal grandfather and my father-in-law did.

All day every day, for most of his life. And a cigar in the evening.

My grandfather was the only smoker int he family. My brother and brother-in-law both dip (ugh), but I inherited my grandads pipe collection. Sadly, he was one of these old school guys that would smoke one until it blew out, some of them rather spectacularly, and then get a new one so he didn't have a lot of good quality pipes, but the ones that are still decent all smoke well, so you can't really complain too much. The rest of my family thinks it's weird that I smoke pipes and just rolls their eyes when I go outside during family gatherings to get away from them and relax.

My father smoked a pipe off and on...and smoked either PA or SWR. He was mainly a cigarette smoker, and smoked Pall Mall with no filter.
