That is a very cool find. The only thing I can think is that it was made by the S.M. Frank Co., which is now Kaywoodie. They did have a line of pipes called "Frank". Given that it's bakelite there's a good chance that the pipe could have been made in their New York City plant. Production was moved to Queens in the mid 1930's when Frank took over the DeMuth pipe company. I wonder if a call to Kaywoodie may yield more information.
