Just saw that I had received an email notification this morning at 9AM that 656 was back in stock at SP. they are sold out 3 hours later. My one tin will have to last a bit longer.

For some unknown reason Solani hasn't been able to produce enough ABF for years. In contrast their other popular flakes like Silver flake and 633 are normally not that hard to find. When they do go out they are replenished fairly quickly. When I cellared both 633 and Silver flake back in 2012, I had no trouble doing so. I tried ABF back then but didn't like it at all. It was one of the weirdest tasting flakes I had ever tried. I also found Wesex Burley slice to have that same weird taste. Many people who cannot find the ABF do try the Wessex and many like it. I have no idea if that is also hard to find.
I do enjoy a number of Vaburs but straight burley just doesn't taste great to me.

That's nuts, don . I have to agree with Dramatwist about finding something nobody likes. Whitehall Black Tie. I am safe there.

Or something made in huge quantities that is good enough. Like a better OTC or a more produced flake.

I think we're going to see a lot of runs on tobacco. There seem to have been runs on Red Va thanks to the McC issue. P&C's inventory looked ravaged. I saw some Sutliff Red Va back in stock today after being out all over. I bought 8 oz.

"ravaged" is a good word to describe it... the retailers must be enjoying all this...

Glad I got a couple tins of 656 a couple years ago (along with Wessex Burley). I have yet to try either as I have waaaay too many tobaccos to try.
I hope you all get a chance to try it.

Anyone know what year the tins changed on ABF?
I've got 2 or 3 tins that look different than the other 6 ... older, I'm guessing.
