When my electric popcorn maker broke, I kept the bowl for jarring and mixing duty. It is heavy, 6" depth and 8" diameter and I can place 4 & 8 ounce jars in it and load from there. No fuss, no muss and zero spillage.

...I've read all available info on cellaring, and I still worry about it... a recent *vintage* tobacco purchase found me without Ball jars, so I left it in the the "freezer bags", wrapped it in aluminum foil and bagged it again...
