Hey all! My 20 year old son is just about heart broken that he won't be able to get Frog on the Bayou any more. It is/was his absolute favorite blend.
Can any of you more experience smokers give me some suggestions for something that I can get for him that might be somewhat comparable?

Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding, maybe? It's a fairly sweet Latakia blend with some Perique, like FMB. Maybe there's something from Sutliff too, like Voodoo Queen?

When I used to smoke Frog on the Bayou I also enjoyed Two Friends Deacons Downfall. It is an English blend with perique.

While there's no real substitute for any of the Frog blends, I will second Voodoo Queen and Deacon's Downfall as worthy smokes for their own merits. In fact, I preferred both to any of the Frogs... except for the Truculent one on this forum.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think we will try all of those.

First thing I thought of was Seattle Pipe Club: Mississippi River.
