Ok, ok.... Sorta (I know , clickbait right?) This evening, after dinner, Blondie and I played our evening round of Scrabble while enjoying a glass of Pinot Noir and watching Frazier re-runs. About 2/3rds of the way through the game I looked over at the board, being somewhat distracted by Frazier, and realized that Blondie had made the following word... "Lunt!" I exclaimed rather excitedly. "I didn't know you knew that word?!?!?!" I exclaimed. To which Blondie replied... "I don't know what it means". I was understandably somewhat disappointed at hearing this. I then asked "Well if you don't know what it means, how do you even know if it's a word, "Sweetie"? To which she replied... "Well, I've seen you use it before." Don't know bout you guys, but I'm gonna consider that a "Win". ;-)

Bravo, Madame Blondie! I love Scrabble. I'd like to get that phone app that lets you play with friends from afar. Wonder if they have a chess game for phones. That would be fun to play with friends too.

Brilliant.
Edit: don't think my wife would ever use that word. I've only ever lunted once... I prefer to sit.

That is most definitely a win. That is great! It is just too bad that on your turn you couldn't have added ing.

bonanzadriver.... There's a society for everything, today. Thanks for the interesting link.
Matthew..... The first time I heard the use of the word "fard" was years ago. I was listening to Rush Limbaugh, as he told his audience a story: One day, as he was driving along and had to stop for a red light,he glanced over at the car next to him and he noticed that there was a young lady who was obviously "farding"... while waiting for the light to change. He asked his listeners if any other women made it a habit to fard while driving, or, while waiting for red lights to change? Knowing Rush, I knew it had to be some kind of a joke.
Of course, as soon as I got home, I had to look the word up in a dictionary. And, then, I knew....and now you know.

...actually, the term "lunt" as a noun, was used to indicate a flame used to light a fire. The verb was used to indicate smoke or steam... but these were both secondarily associated with the smoking of a pipe...

I was introduced to the the word "lunting" several years ago by a forum friend in the UK. I'd never heard it prior to that.
