Never been, but will be in Vegas that weekend, worth stopping by? I've never been Peter, but have wanted to attend for the last two years (2016 and 2017). Had to cancel my room reservations at the Palace Station in 2016, and just seems that life gets in the way Its suppose to be a darn good show though. Maybe not as well attended as the Chicago show, but good none the less. Here's their web page: www.westcoastpipeshow.com/And hopefully, life will get "out of the way" so I can attend

I have never actually met anyone who has attended the West Coast Show, LOL
But, it must be half decent as it keeps coming back, I am staying at the Golden Nugget and will have Saturday to myself, so might have to pay it a visit!

If you are already in town, it is definitely worth stopping by.

Thanks for mentioning this. It reminded me to book my room. I've attended the WCPS for the past four years and every time has been a blast. There are lots and lots of pipes for sale, both new and estates. Last year I got some great deals on vintage tobaccos. There's an opening night dinner, and during show hours there are raffles for pipes and rare tobaccos. The people there are great to talk with and they come from all over the country. You can meet some of the top carvers working today. It's not huge like the Chicagoland show, but it's the next biggest one. The hotel is completing a major renovation and there will be a new lounge just off of the main floor where you can relax with your fellow pipe smokers and share tobaccos. You can smoke at the show and pretty much everywhere in the hotel.

It's a long way out but I would encourage you to make every effort to attend the show and book the Palace Station though the group. This show has suffered in the last few years and needs walk in traffic to survive and the organizers need to fill their room quota to get a discount on the showroom.

As Sable and Dave posted, the West Coast Show is excellent. It's small enough that you have time to visit and view every table and still large enough that you'll leave feeling like you missed something. Lots of US based carvers attend as well as a few from over seas. The hotel room rates are very reasonable, and with the major renos, it will be much better. I highly recommend the show.
