mold is very depressing stuff.. I had some whole leaf tobacco that started to mold and it ened ruining several ropes I made as well as a few blends made from whole leaf...really bad stuff.. be extra careful!

That looks like mold to me but wtf do I know. As I mentioned before, living in a desert presents its own set of problems and mold ain't one of em.

Tobacco mold is really toxic to humans, though more so to humans too stupid to throw out moldy tobacco. Exactly, I wouldn't smoke moldy tobacco anymore than I would eat moldy food. |

Ok, I have a half pound of Esoterica Woodbridge split into smaller jars. The darker pieces have developed what looks more like plume butt there's condensation on the jars. The white flecks are only on the dark pieces of tobacco and have a glittery appearance under light. There's no funky smell. What say the experts here? Just curious but did you smoke it and if so how was it? |

It smoked beautifully and tasted fine. I think it's plume.

It most definitely is plume then. I would think mold would taste terrible and plume...very delicious. Good deal, enjoy.

I've wiped off mold from the surface of some Cohibas and smoked them. Probably not the best idea but if it doesn't penetrate to the core it should be fine. Tasted fine.
