From 1 PM to 5 PM We look forward to seeing some new faces at the meeting......This month we will be discussing routine maintenance of pipes and how to keep them clean and sweet smoking. We will have differing kinds of pipe reamers and the strengths and weaknesses of the different pipe tools available to pipe smokers. That was on the itinerary for last month, but with rending of garments and wailing that went on over the closure of McClellands factory, we got off track....That might be a slight exaggeration but hey...it is what it is..  And of course great libations are available at Big Sticks, and plenty of tobaccos and pipes to peruse along with lively chat and fellowship of the briar. |

The wife is fine! my daughter is the webmaster as she works at GoDaddy, she occasionally attends.
Paul serves beer there, so I think the would take a dim view of bringing beer in....I will stop by tomorrow and see if he has it in stock, If not I will ask him to get some....I think that he does stock it though.

Well it it was a nice afternoon with Rost, Gary, Charlie, Cayla and a new member Dan. We had some good conversations about many subjects. Many bowls are lit and smoked. There was even some snuff dipped into.

We had a good time, and no..it wasn't cancelled for lack of interest or for any other reason.
If there is a cancellation in the future, I will send an email directly to everyone on my email list and I will post it here.
I am sorry if that caused you to not show up Peter, I was looking forward to meeting you.
6 of us were there, one was a new visitor that stumbled onto our webpage, we had 3 guys missing because of travel, or impending travel (deployment to Qatar).

There's a lot wrong back there (3 surgeries, 35+ epidurals), but this time it's only a bad strain, I'll be up and around in a bit. Work comes first, so discretion took the better part of valor this weekend. |
