Budget is a concern here so who would you go to for a Comoy's replacement stem with a 3 part logo? George is out of my $$ on this one as I picked it up for a 10 spot. I also scored a rare Kirsten small pipe that needs a new bit and a new bowl if you want to toss in your ides for that one as well.

As a collector of Comoy's, I am not aware of anyone reproducing 3 part logo stems, if I understand your question correctly.

There's a member here, piffyr, who's been doing some remarkable restoration work and who does beautiful stem work. I would suggest that you PM him to see if he can help you. George has expressed admiration for his work.

Ebay, look for beater pipes with nice stems of the same nomenclature. This route may take a while, but may be fruitful. I have done it my self!

I remember seeing a shop that could recreate any stem logo, but it started at $55 for a while dot, and went up from there. I looked into getting a replacement stem for my Peterson with the 9ct gold "P". Fugetaboutit!

I agree with sable on piffyr. He's very good an is known for helping out hard cases. It's a long shot also but ssjones is a big time Comoy's fan, He might have something. Good Luck!
As for the Kirston goes, If the one you have takes the same bowl as they do now. I have extra's.

Scrooge - will post a pic of the Kirsten when I get home tonight. Never seen one like it. Regular bowls don't fit.

Maybe a Cavalier bowl? It is really small, I tried the bowl off my Kirsten and it was way to large. The plain X I had never seen or heard of before. It is a puzzler to me.

Definitely not a Cavalier. The are shaped differently. it's a standard shape and looks like a more recent model. With the right adapter and screws, I believe that any Kirsten bowl can be made to fit any Kirsten. What other markings are on it.

In regard to the Kirsten, I am always taken aback when a nice pipe has been treated so poorly.

Hell, I just looked at my Kirsten closer, the one I smoke and it is a Cavalier (CX). HAHA.

Some of the Kirsten bowls don't use the outside cup and take a different screw.
