If you could send some prayers and good will to me and my family, I'd appreacite it. A tree fell on my dad's house last night and it is completely wrecked. Everyone is okay. They thankfully weren't in their bedroom which got the worst of it. It's going to be a struggle for them.

Sending blessings your way. I'm a big believer in good things happening out of bad ones, and, sometimes those good things take a while to reveal themselves, but, maybe this is all happening for a reason, which has yet to reveal itself. Happy to hear you and your family are safe, a blessing in itself.

My cousin moved into an awesome beautiful ranch house in Gilroy California..had a beautiful Oak tree that must have been a gazillion years old towering over the home. Right as we got everything moved in, and we cracked some beers out by the barn, there was a loud crack, and the tree fell over crushing the Ryder truck and pretty much demolishing the ranch house. It seems that termites had infested the old oak, and my cousin had not so great timing...the house also had termite infestation so it was a providential gift to him. The house took the brunt of the damage, all my cousin's stuff was recoverable...eventually they moved into a nice house paid for by the insurance company. I hope your folks fare as well. My cousin tried to tell me that I should cart off all the old oak to my home since I barbecued so much...termite hitchhikers and all...  |
