It's one year, to the day (not the date), since my dad died. He fell off a ladder at 3 pm while working on a house in Belfast.
I'm starting a tradition to smoke a brand new tobacco, one that I have never tried, every year on the anniversary of his death.
Today, at 3 pm, l will be smoking the sample of Ennerdale flake which I got as part of a sampler pack.
Does anybody else do anything similar?

That's beautiful way to celebrate your memories of your father.

While I don't have a similar tradition, I'll certainly raise my first bowl this morning to both of you.

I don't, but I will start one. My dad smoked a latakia blend, so I think I'll celebrate his birthday with a bowl of something that reminds of him.
Thank for sharing your story.
