If anyone here is from Oceania, can you please explain "Footy Tipping" to me? Milady works for a down under company and this is a thing, apparently. Australian football meets fantasy football? Idk.

I've never heard of that. I've heard of cow tipping where people push cows over when they're sleeping, but I've never heard of footy tipping.

Heh, I lived in New Hampshire where cow tipping was popular after alcohol consumption.
I think Aussie football is more like arena hockey, brutal and senseless to the outsider. I don’t even watch American football. I did live for a few years next to the stadium where the Patriots played, but would rather watch the Red Sox. I'm sure that's just as confusing to someone from Ireland as Footy Tipping is to me.

I'm starting to get it. Yeah, it's gambling on their version of football, but they are rabid about it. I don't normally gamble or follow NFL, but I will buy a Superbowl square.
I've heard Australian football described as a mix of "Gaelic football, moshing, and semaphore."
