These can be tobaccos that are currently available, recently available, long gone, or waiting for that special occasion.
1. Rattray's - Hal O The Wynd - Made by Charles Rattray 2. Dunhill - Royal Yacht - Made by Dunhill 3. Sobranie Ltd - 759 - Made by Sobranie Ltd 4. GL Pease - Bohemian Scandal 5. Rattray's 7 Reserve - Made by Charles Rattray 6. McClelland - 22, 24, 25, 27 - I have them, but haven't gotten around to trying them 7. Dunhill - Navy Flake - Made by Dunhill 8. Copes -Escudo 9. J & F Bell - Three Nuns 10. McClelland - Christmas Cheer - 1992 - It would be interesting to smoke the one that started it all, but I'm not spending that much on a tin of anything.

Good question. I'm not really fussy cos there is a whole world of tobaccos in USA that I can't get, but I do think about trying...
Another Frog Morton (only tried Cellar) - but that ain't gonna happen. Lane 1Q - I've heard lots about this so i'd like to give it a go at some time in my life.
And after the chat about Ennerdale, I might try another lakeland, but I'm not sure which one. My aspirations are low.

There are many tobaccos that I still want to try but I have to say, with the state that pipe tobacco is in I would really like to try all of J.L. Peretti's Blends. They have many interesting sounding flakes not to mention their burleys are wonderful. I would like to try them all and then stock up on my favorites incase they go away.

I'm not consumed with the desire to try a bunch, mainly because don't wanna find that i need to buy yet another blend. If I get an urge, I'll try something. Having said that, I'll get around to trying Mcconnell latakia flake. I hear it's different. I just got on a dark fired Kentucky kick, so I don't need another quest.

Yo mwp Sad to say, but the McClelland implosion spells the demise of most of the marvy LJP flakes, since they produced them. However, Peretti does a lot of their own blending on the mixtures, and their Englishes and burleys are wonderful. hples

A couple of them have been unavailable for a while. There are still some blends that will remain available that I'd like to try.

1. The Capstan from Tolkien's day 2. Germain's: Special Latakia Flake 3. Esoterica: Penzance (to a lesser degree all the other blends I have yet to get my hands on) 4. Dunhill Navy Flake - Made by Dunhill 5. J & F Bell - Three Nuns 6. Reiner: Long Golden Flake 7. Butera: Pelican 8. Blakan Sobranie- the original one everybody raves about. 9. Peretti: Scottish Flake 10. Presbyterian
I'd also like to try Tabac Manil: La Brumeuse, but I'm not keen on buying a 3.5 oz brick of something I may not want to smoke.

I'd most like to try the various GH and SG Lakeland blends. I've had GH Rum Flake and SG Kendal Cream thus far and loved them both. GH Bosun Cut Plug Unscented (which is actually lightly scented) is in the mail. After that I'm thinking GH Glengarry Flake, SG Grousemoor, GH Kendal Flake, and GH Ennerdale. I'm trying to advance from lightly to more strongerly scented blends. Any fans with suggestions for this Lakeland neophyte would be most welcome!

If it were possible, I would try the following tobaccos when they were fresh.
Dunhill London Mixture (the original 1928 version) Dunhill Elizabethan (Murray’s and original Dunhill, if they made one) Dunhill Cuba- pre-1960s version Dunhill Flake Dunhill Delux Navy Rolls (original and Murray) Dunhill Ye Old Sign (original) Dark Flake and Light Flake (not STG/Orlik)
Peretti Cuban Mixture - also pre 1960
Bell’s Three Nuns (the original)
Balkan Sobrani: by Sobraine Ltd -original smoking Mixture -759 - no. 10
GLP Bohemian Scandal
Esoterica - all 1989 or the first year: Stonehaven Dunbar Penzance Dorchester Tilbury
Smoker’s Haven Our Best Blend, when it was made by Sobranie

I keep opening this thread trying to think of something that I would want to smoke and haven't but all I come up with are discontinued blends that I have no shot at trying. I would like to smoke some really old Cope's Escudo or some original Capstan Blue flake but that isn't happening as I would never pay the price to acquire those.
I am very happy with my cellar as it stands and there are no current or recently discontinued blends that I pine for.

I've already tried so many blends that it seems like overkill to search for another. The only one that comes to mind is Stonehaven. It seems to be the most elusive for me of all the Esoterica blends, so maybe someday it'll happen. I'm not worried about it too much as I already have so many blends I've cellared that I've yet to try.

I've smoked several of these -GLP Bohemian Scandal, Cope's Escudo, and Original 759 are all worth tracking down imo. Live a little! For me I'd say the Compton's blends. And all the "new" Germain's blends we can't seem to get.

Peterson Escudo with the painted labels, they are essentially Cope's. They sourced tobaccos from the same place Cope's did.

He's been saying they might come back since he took them off the market. I wouldn't hold my breath on anything he says.

I received GH Bosun Cut Plug Unscented and it is an interesting blend. A bit floral, but not bad and the clove essence adds a bit of pepper which I like. Unfortunately, the two together tends to build up on me and eventually makes me a bit nauseous. I think I'm going to have to set this one aside for now and revisit it at a later date.

Any and all of the old Sobranies that get top dollar when up for sale. Whatever my Grandpa smoked. This smoke is, and will probably remain, unknown to me.
