Hope it don't fall on me! Odds a one in a trillion, so I'll likely survive.

About like the chance of me winning the mega lotto although knowing my luck I'd win the lotto and then this thing would land on me.

You can get a t-shirt stating that you survived Skylab and Mir falling too.

I wear my tin foil hat at all times, so I'm not going to be hit by anything.

with this bunch of optimist's, I am surprised that Ronv69 hasn't chimed in. The country is already covered in Chinese junk. I don't see how this could make much of a difference.

A warning has been issued,,,Stay away from any pieces of this thing. They could be covered in a clear liquid called ..Hydrazine..It's extremely dangerous to humans.Maybe even deadly..All part of this modern high-tech society we live in.

I agree to stay away, but I don't see how hydrazine would survive a hot reentry.

A scrap of metal from it might make a great ashtray.

When the last space shuttle burned up on reentry and scattered itself across Texas, my friend's house and land was under it's path. He said two NASA guys showed up in a rental Taurus filled with junk food wrappers and looking like they'd been living in it. They were asking permission to search his land for pieces. About an hour later they came back with a tile. They couldn't give him the tile of course, it was headed back to NASA, but they let him take a bunch of pictures and were really nice. He said they looked really tired.
That's about as close as you can get from getting hit with space debris. Of course, that was worse than the Chinese junk burning up because the astronauts all died, but he can honestly say he almost got hit with space debris. If he'd been out on his tractor mowing it could have scared the everliving hell out of him.

I saw something not long ago that claimed space travel would be more difficult in time because of the amount of satellites orbiting earth.

Did anyone see anything? There was supposed to be a light-show as it re-entered the atmosphere.
