Smoking a 50/50 mix of RLP-6 and BCA in a Don Carlos Montana. That was one of the first mixtures I ever smoked. A Navy friend from Camp Lejeune sent me a half pound of it back in ‘97. Of that, 90% is still in a jar out back!! But, and there’s always a but, it did get me out to buy my first basket pipe. I’ve still got the pipe; a fine smoker for a no-name London made.

Carter Hall in a Keyser Hygenic Patent smooth bent Billiard. Java refill. Ah! You have one as well I've been missing Grimpeur who was the only other member who ever posted smoking one. I had a couple of modern ones, which I gifted to new aspiring pipe smokers. Kept an older estate prince for nostalgia's sake. Not very hygienic, are they?

That is interesting. How do you know that the pipe is from 1979..? Stanwell stopped stamping the reg. nos. somewhere between the late 1960s and the early 1970s.

Morning commute was Carter Hall in a Country Gentleman and Community coffee, neat in the Contigo. However, the pipe was not lit and the coffee was not sipped due to a visit from Stormy this morning, or Maybe it was his brother, Bubba. Lots of lightening, thunder and heavy rain that turned a 20 minute commute into 40.
