Now smoking 2010 Samuel Gawith FVF in a sandblasted Brebbia Ninja squashed tomato with a tortoise shell acrylic stem. My drink is a bottle of Diet Manhattan Special. After this I have to do homework. I’ll tell you about that in another thread.

Stirling Flake in an old Charatan Special. I admit to being a coddler and not a clencher--and this old pipe has been coddled to the point that the lettering has been partially obliterated. So the "IAL" is missing and it is now a "SPEC." Sort of makes it extra special IMHO.

Last smoke of the day is Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite stem. Why are you smoking Match? 😜 Because your package hasn't arrived yet! Half way through this bowl of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem. Simply Apple is my drink.

That is interesting. How do you know that the pipe is from 1979..? Stanwell stopped stamping the reg. nos. somewhere between the late 1960s and the early 1970s. Because I bought it in 1979. The Tinderbox had a half price sale, and I got a ton more than my money's worth with this pipe.

You always get a ton more than your money's worth with a Stanwell. Thanks very much for your reply, Jim.

Carter Hall in a Keyser Hygenic Patent smooth bent Billiard. Java refill. Ah! You have one as well I've been missing Grimpeur who was the only other member who ever posted smoking one. I had a couple of modern ones, which I gifted to new aspiring pipe smokers. Kept an older estate prince for nostalgia's sake. Not very hygienic, are they? Well the moisture collection set up does work if that's what you mean. One of the more enjoyable first smokes I've had. Workhorse pipe stood itself in good stead. There's a good article on them at Reborn pipes. Grimpeur's absence noted here too.
