My last pipe of the day is 2014 Samuel Gawith St. James Flake in a Basil Meadows long shank brandy with a brass band and Cumberland stem. Hot tea is my drink.

saw it recently and concur. not as unbelievable as white guys portraying Charlie Chan, but a career low point. fortunately, looming success would rescue him from the dictates of studio roles. I felt the same way about John Wayne playing Genghis Kahn in The Conqueror (1956). Talk about miscasting. Charlton Heston playing a Mexican in Touch of Evil. Great movie, but it is weird. Somebody should start a thread about this. Now smoking McCranie’s 1983 Red Ribbon in an unbranded '70s Charatan smooth straight Billiard with a black vulcanite stem.

Do you ever get to 100 pages? Edit: That would be a 'no' considering March didn't get to 100 pages and it was a record month. I'd love to see us get over the hundred page mark. We need some help getting there. I could start posting pictures of cats and Indians, and maybe some squirrels and puppies. But I probably won't.

Still moving but getting stronger. Just been a while since I had to move like this daily. Good training. Smoking Watch City Slices in an MM Country Gent, drinking a Rolling Rock and getting ready to lay it down for a few hours.

Mixed a half ration of Sutliff Chocolate Truffle with a half ration of Distinguished Gentleman in a totally beaten up DRG Viscount Canted Bulldoggie with lime green oxidized stem with Gorilla Tape Bit.
Thinking of calling the blend Distinguished Chocolate Bunny.
Settling down to watch two rare movies, Meet Nero Wolfe with Edward Arnold and When Were You Born with Anna May Wong playing a detective. One of her best roles in a sound picture. If I am still awake, Ellery Queen's Penthouse Mystery with Ray Miland and AMWong. They managed to fit more story in an hour movie than most do these days in two hours

Shortcut to Mushrooms in a cheap old Cassillero 728. In any pipe! I love this blend!
Watching the Andre The Giant bio on HBO. This man was one of the first things to blow my mind as a kid. A living fairytale. It's getting towards the part of the film where they dig into his emotional and physical pain later in life. I foresee moist eyes in my near future... Rest in peace, Andre.

Party pooper!!! Half way through this bowl of 1999 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed in a 1984 medium bend black grain etched Savinelli Non Pareil 9310 poker with a horn ferrule and a black vulcanite stem. Stuff sure burns quickly.

Now smoking some Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic in a Savinelli Hercules billiard while I watch the latest episode of Blue Bloods. I love this show and this tobacco. Its the best OTC that I've run across thus far.

Now smoking 2014 Solani 633 in a smooth straight early 1960s Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Phone chatting about the world!

Cried like a baby. So did my roommate. Haha. Andre. Poor guy had to wrestle gravity his entire life. As a big guy with a back full of rods and and pins, I can really appreciate what it must've been like.
Smoking more Shorcut in a different pipe. The LaRocca. Probably a swan song for the night.

Good morning, you all. First smoke of this thunny Thursday; Blue Capstan in a hand made, reg. no. Stanwell no. 91. Another great Sixten Ivarsson design, based on his 'Ukulele' shape. His original version can be seen in the Pibe Dan catalogue 1961/62, p. 55.

HH ODF in my #1 stack. If I'm not careful,I might smoke a lot of this. Careful now! I have warned other forum members that this stuff is addictive...and you can go off it. I have quite a bit of the ready rubbed version cellared and I 'release" about 2 oz at a time, from time to time, which of course gets finished very quickly . And then I lay off it for a while. Good stuff indeed

Stormy made a quick surprise visit to the West Coast of the Dark Continent this morning. Luckily I had left some burley out, just in case, and he left quickly. Then started my Thor's Day in appropriate fashion with MacBaren's Old Dark Fired Ready Rubbed in a Kiko meer straight billiard. Strong coffee alongside.
