McClelland #24 in a JTCooke Lovat. It's a freezing morning and it snowed last night- lots of coffee and a nice pipe before sunrise- the only way to go.

You are obviously liking the "SG Golden Glow" or as I like to call it the "SG Medium Virginia Flake" Wolfman. It's one of my favorite Virginias. Give it a year, and it'll be one of your favorites too (if it ain't already).

I’ve spent months looking for Medium Virginia Flake, without success. Last Friday I learned MVF is now known as Golden Glow. SP had it in stock and I ordered a 250 gram box. Now smoking 2015 Germain King Charles Smoking Mixture in a rusticated Peterson donegal rocky bent bulldog with a diagonal band and vulcanite p-lip stem. I’m suddenly craving English blends again. My beverage is a mug of black coffee.

A bottle of Boylan's Birch Beer made with pure cane sugar is my drink. Watching Hopalong Cassidy with Sleepy Suzy by my side.

Good evening to all our friends in Wales, Ireland, Denmark, Greece, and any other country in that time zone I may have missed
I am a short way into my first bowl of SG Best Brown Flake in an Elf Cobbit, the toby that @10furlongs was kind enough to send. I don't know if I would have understood VA blends a year ago. Battling sinuses and freshman smoking habits made me keep attaching responsibility to this or that tobacco. Though I have smoked pipes off and on for 46 years now it is right at a year since I picked it up again. I have just gotten around to and appreciating VAs in the last few months. This is sweet, but not overly so, grassy, but a mature grass (not a raw grass flavor), and a tad of spice. I have not looked up the reviews, so I don't know if that has been "caught" by others, but this is second only to real Kentucky Blue Grass, which we all know is sainted to some of us.
Only issue is I forgot where I put my bottle of water.
edit - Gotta add that the first draw on this is exactly the same as the later draws
