Last bowl of the night was G&H Brown Flake U/S in a GBD P9023F Billiard with a cup of Taylors Yorkshire tea on the side. One of these days, I'll hopefully locate this id number to get a year on this old pipe. Good little smoker! You pipers have a good evening, as I got to get it together and head on in to bed. Good night...

SG St James Flake in a Royal Sovereign Overcast and drizzling slightly, here in Cape Town this morning. Hopefully we'll get a couple of decent drops as well, it still is very dry.

Now smoking 2014 Solani 633 in a smooth straight early 1960s Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Love the pipe, love the tobacco. Watching the Jays-Yankees game since the Braves and Mets are in a rain delay. ...633 is a personal favorite... I'll have to try it again. I have a jar that has been sealed up for about 2.5 years and another tin that has been sealed since 2014. I thought it was OK, when I tried it last, but I have tried a fair number more VaPer's since trying this one last. Thanks for the inspiration Dramatwist.

Now smoking the last of my stash of 2006 C&D Yorktown in a brown straight smooth Paul Perri billiard with a black acylic tapered stem. Ice water and bergs is my evening drink. I hope you bought more in recent years. I will say that Yorktown gets much better after even a year than smoking it fresh. I finished the 2.5 year old jar earlier this month. I then bought a pound bag of it and jarred it in 2 large jars and 2 small jars. I tried the fresh small jar and found it to be lacking compared to the aged jar I had just finished. I then found another jar of Yorktown from March of 2016 and will smoke that the next time I smoke some. I'll bet the 2006 Yorktown is fantastic! It's probably really sweet and full flavored.

Tonight it's some C&D Burley Flake #3 (my favorite) from 11/15 to smoke in the Stanwell 2012 POY with some Lagunitas Citrunesiness Pale Ale along side. (It is still 7.5% ABV, though. For a Pale Ale!? WTF!?)

I have some in jars, less than a pound. I should have more. The 2006 was very good.... had a matured taste to it, but honestly, it wasn't a night and day difference between that and fresh. Last smoke of the day is Lane Limited Ready Rubbed in a 2016 PSF POY quarter bend black sandblasted Vermont Freehand egg with an aluminum band and a tortoise shell colored acrylic saddle stem.

I just set fire to my first pipe of the day: 2015 Germain King Charles Smoking Mixture in a Peterson Killarney bulldog with a diagonal band and vulcanite p-lip stem. This is my last bowl, and unfortunately I have no more. It took about 9 days to blow through this tin.

A little late posting this as Mondays after a couple of days off can be a little challenging. Anyway, the morning commute consisted of SWR in a cob and Community coffee, neat in the Contigo. Stormy paid a visit last night. Hope he found his burley.

A year will do Yorktown some good. After 2.5 years, it gets amazing. I have not smoked any beyond that age. If you have a larger and smaller amount set aside, smoke the smaller amount at about a year, then wait until 2+ years for the large amount.
