Relaxing after a wonderful shrimp and potatoes dinner with the last of the chocolate meringue pie for dessert. I'm a quarter of the way through this bowl of 2014 Sutliff Court of St, James in a smooth straight late ‘50s, early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad, too! My second Conrad pipe. Watching the Nats-Dodgers game on ESPN.

I couldn't get to like it. I tried. I like the smoke quite a bit and it burns amazing. I’m not nuts about the aftertaste so far. It’s like breathing through a dryer sheet. But, I enjoy the taste when I’m smoking it. I’ve only smoked 3-4 bowls of it so far though. I feel by then end of this first pouch, I should know whether or not to sell the remaining 4 or buy more Keep me in mind if you decide to sell, Scott. I'll give you market for it. It's a drag when you don't like a blend. A bigger drag if you have quantity. Puffed happily along on Ennerdale all day. After so many bowls the novelty has worn off, and it's just good tasty tobacco now. I've found another front line blend, that's for sure.

Hi Lady. Where did you find Klompen Kloggen? I remember smoking that prolly 40 years ago. I've not seen or heard of it in all that time. Seems it had an unusual tast to it.
It is a blend from Sterling Tobacco, and it does have a different kind of smell. The taste is good, though.

Thank You! Also found a couple others over there. Enabler!!!!

Almost half way through this bowl of 2012 Anniversary Kake in a smooth medium bend 1979 Chippendale (Charatan second) Rhodesian 49 with a black vulcanite stem. This will finish the eight ounce tin I opened over a year ago. Slow, but steady wins the race.

I forgot to take my journal out with me, so let's see if I can do this from memory....
We went out to sit by the fire pit and I started off with Sterling's Balkan Sterling in a MM Neked Country Gent. Next I smoked Sterling's Klompen Kloggen in a MM 5th Avenue Diplomat. I followed that up with MacBaren Roll Cake (gonna have to order more soon) in a MM Neked Freehand. Hubby put more wood on the fire so I lit up another bowl with Wilke's 524 blend (love it, but I just have a dab so I'm using it sparingly until I can order more) in a MM Neked apple Diplomat. Last up for the evening was The Country Squire's White Rose in a MM Mark Twain. I was sipping Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Blackberry Porter.
another lovely evening!

Working at a paying project today, way behind on the posts. My wife rewarded me with a dinner of chicken in a piccata sauce with capers and artichokes with a fine chardonnay. Afterwards I bought on the weekend's papers and smoked GH Kendall Kentucky in my Pipe Dan copy, then Engine 99 in my canted waist stack, then Kendall Dark with a pinch of latakia in a Kriswill billiard. Good night's eating and smoking. The Kendall Dark is a nice racing tobac, but it burns about as fast as splinters in napalm.

A bowl of McClellands #2015 in a Castello rusticated bent Sea Rock briar. When I first got this stuff in 03/2015, it was an a fairly decent va/per flake. Now with 3 years on it in the Kerr jar, its just crazy good! Dogs are looking at me, so its time for our final walk of the day
