Good morning, you all. First smoke on this Friday/public holiday; W. Ø. Larsen's 'Old Fashioned' in a Stanwell no. 213 - Sixtus, designed by Tom Eltang. He designed six pipes in the 'Sixtus' series, the shank is six-panelled and the name is a tribute to Sixten Ivarsson. Good Morrow to you, Stanhill . That blend is a righteous blend. Enjoy your day. antb I hope things are well with your mother. Travel safely Thanks very much and likewise to you, David. 'Old Fashioned' is indeed an excellent tobacco. In fact, I've ever only tasted two tobaccos, I disliked immensely (diplomatically put). Borkum Riff and a sample of a horrible German strawberry tobacco called Radford.

Rattray Caribbean Dreams. That's a beautiful Calabash and reminds me that I haven't smoked my calabash in quite a while. Mine is the standard yellow calabash with meerschaum bowl and black stem and is a wonderful smoker.

Now smoking GH Bosun Cut Plug U/S in a MM Legend Cob with water on the side. I really like this blend, but my wife doesn't - says it's too perfumey.

I will leave you with this before I disappear for the weekend.
Posting extremely late, on Tuesday at the lounge I started my day by lighting up Klompen Kloggen in my Savinelli Roma Lucite (forgot the #) If you haven't tried this blend, you need to!
Next was EGR in my Savinelli Trevi 114 Smooth.
Wanted something sweet so I smoked Black Cordial in my grapeleaf meer.
Followed that with Margate in a Savinelli Mr. G 904.
Finished off with Old Grove in my Savinelli Pietro 626. I was sipping water.

I think that's the greatest tobacco-name, I've ever heard/read. Now, how to get my mittens on a pouch/tin. Happy Anniversary-weekend to you both and happy puffing, M'Lady.

Couldn't sleep, and as I watch the Babe, I'm almost finished smoking C&D Happy Hour in a smooth medium bend straight grain 2000 Winslow C silver spigot wide top Dublin with a canted plateau and black acrylic stem.

Tried the John Bull sampler in a Rossi of undetermined vintage during the drive into work, probably will not buy again, not my thing/taste. Having Folger from the break room coffee pot at my desk, will walk outside and give the John Bull another go, shortly.

Thank you for the sample. I will be ordering more soon.

I’m about a quarter way through my first pipe of the day: Peretti Pride of Loch Lomond in a rusticated Urbino bent apple with an acrylic stem. I haven’t smoked this for some time and it’s just as good as I remembered it.

You can order KK here: www.sterlingtobaccoco.com/1776.htmlThanks very much for the link, Sam, but there's just one problem ordering from the US and that's the Danish customs. I might be lucky that the tobacco sails under their radar, but if it doesn't, they are going to have a field day. Normally, when we buy from countries from outside the EU, there's a certain amount you're allowed to buy for, before they bung duty and taxes on your goods; unfortunately, tobacco is an exemption. They charge you 25$ just to look at the bloody parcel and then comes tax and duty and on top of that, they bung 25% VAT of the whole amount, that is, the price + shipping + duty + tax + 25$. I don't really dare to run the risk. I was hoping that it might be available from some EU shop.

Funny, first thing I did when I read the earlier post was to look and see if it's available in the UK...It appears not.
