So, not sure if anyone has been following/voting on the Smoking Pipes Facebook page, but it's down to the final two blends in the championship round of voting. Will it be Dunhill Nightcap or Escudo Navy De Luxe? I personally have not yet smoked either, although I did pick up 2 tins of Nightcap over the weekend from Tinder Box in Palm Springs, so I personally did not vote on the final round. Currently Escudo is winning with 50.5% so it's a close run race! What say you pipe smokers of the forum?  ?  |

They are two different animals... an English Blend vs a Va-per.
I like Nightcap, but if it came down to picking it would be Escudo for me.

I prefer Nightcap,Escudo just didn't have the flavor
I expected and Nightcap was exceptional.

I don't smoke enjoy VaPers so wouldn't vote Escudo, and can think of plenty of better English blends than Nightcap. It's an apple-and-oranges comparison.

Would have been more interesting if they compared tobacco blends in the same "category" (and I know that is a broad term itself). |
