My son the truck driver visited me today. He told me that two days ago he stopped to make a delivery.50 miles farther down the road he reached for his phone which was in a case clipped to his belt. The clip was there but the case and his phone were missing.Apparently he hit it on something and knocked the case loose from the clip.He replaced the phone and good for him he had his vital information written down.I guess maybe from now on I will pay a little more attention when I take my phone out of the house.

Yikes! Depending on the phone, that could be an expensive replacement even with insurance. That's why I usually set my phone to automatic lock so if I lose it no one can get into it... God forbid I lose it.

Make sure 1). you always back your phone up, that way if you lose the phone then you have all the information 2). Download the App "Find my phone", if it's on it will show where exactly it is

In and out of the truck, my phone stays in the truck... too easy to squeeze between pallets, next thing you know it’s on it’s way to Kalamazoo... or a forklift crushed it.
Hopefully someone will find it and attempt to get it back to him.

I have mine in my pocket when I'm not using it so my biggest fear is more dropping it when it's out. I hope he gets it back, although the problem with locking the phone is that while your info is 'safe', a kind person can't get access to it to return the phone...Find my phone is the way to go in that instance, like @peterc says.

I once had a guy come to my house at 6 am saying that findmyphone app says it is here. I said it was not and he left. He comes back 30 minutes later acting like I had stolen his phone or something. There is a house in California where people come once a week looking for their lost phones.

They're supposed to be good... from her sales pitch anyway.

Considering the cost and hassle of losing a phone, it might be good to have a “reward if found” sticker with a friends phone number on it.

My amazing and simple idea is not to have a cell phone.
