Thanks haebar. I already had a 10% off code and your timely notice pushed that up to 23%, Found 2 Butz Choquin closeout pipes and got an additional $35.00 off the already discounted total.

HOMERUN for free shipping, in the unlikely event you don't meet the threshold.

Yo hae - thanks for that - the cigar branded blends and Dunhills don't qualify, but this is a pretty good sale.

Use 13BDAY code to get 13% off sitewide. It really stinks that as although I am subscribed to their email alerts, they decided to not send these to me, even though they have been my primary cellar building source. Maybe it is time for me to move on from P&C.

Be careful, a friend ordered some tobacco that said it was "in stock" only to get an email 2 days later telling him that what he ordered was OOS.

I can't believe I am trying again with P&C. Free Shipping on small orders helped. So, I have been wanting to try some STP tobaccos I have been asking John about. He warned the War Horse Plug might be strong, but good, and recommended Green. No problem. P&C has neither. I was interested in the Dobie Cut Plug, which they did have and I snatched up. I already have several of the John Cotton's from STP, but have to wait until I have less open tins. I have the Murray's blends, which I love... but have not tried Linfield. No problem. P&C is out of that one, too. So, I will have to order from SP for the WH. I know they are out of Linfield. The only other reason for P&C was to get a pound of Hine's match. My last order with them a few months ago had only four ounces of Hine's, which I immediately liked. I knew I would have to pay the devil his dues. Let's see if P&C can get a 35$ order packed half way decently. Now it's onto my cart at SP.
PS - For those that are hooked on Dunhill products, and I do like mine, Murray's (and I'll bet John Cotton) is every bit as good as DH. Maybe different, but sometimes different is a new direction in puffery

Good to know.

Good to know. Not sure who handles the production but they are under the STP umbrella. Russ O did the blending. It seems like they have tobaccos (if you add JC, Dobie, War Horse) that hit all the notes, actually more, than Dunhill. Other than Nightcap Match I have not found something really close in the "Hwang" factor, but I am switching my DH purchases to (at least) Murray's, and I will not miss DH. As Justin Wilson used to say, GARRRRANTEEEED

I have tins of John Cotton #2, #3, and Smyrna, + Linfield, and Bengal Slices... just sitting there waiting for me.

The thing I like is I am not overwhelmed with one blend. There are few blends that do that. Instead, I am totally pleased with quality, variety, and price of all the blends I have had. I know I can go from one to the other and just enjoy each for it's own character.

Number 1 is a light English blend, perfect for a first pipe. 1 and 2 is not as light, but quite enjoyable. Smyrna is a Balkan style English. The oriental (Smyrna) takes the lead. I haven’t tried the other blends yet.
