Over the years I have tried lots and lots of different ways of rotating pipes and tobacco. I thought I'd share one that has been working for me for a few months now: Fill a pouch (I use a plain roll-up pouch from the local shop) with your tobacco of choice. Pick a pipe - any pipe, briar, meer, or cob. Then smoke. Smoke all of the tobacco with the selected pipe, then repeat the process. This, I have found, makes it easier to fill the pipe. You just kinda scoop the tobacco in and press it down with your finger. Thoughts?

That's a good method for those who have the discipline to smoke one blend at a time . . . . I have never managed that.

I think that is the codger method... My uncle Earl did that for as long as I can remember. The codger scoop.

Looking back over old ads for pipe tobacco (when they were allowed on TV) that's the method in many of them...
I suppose if you have a few pouches with different blends and pipes then you get the variety at the same time.
Glad it works for you.
