I was gifted a pipe tonight. One the left side is stamped Ao and Dunhill over London. On the right side i stamped: Made in England (there is something stamped next to it that I can't decipher) "Inner Tube" Patent No. 113080615 151 is stamped closer to the bowl.
What do I have here? I tried pipephil but can find it.

I tried pipephil but can find it. The little stamp right after "Made in England" is a year suffix, Ao indicates a Bruyère pipe and the 151 might be a shape number. It seems that you may have a Dunhill from 1924-1926, depending on the year suffix. I found this on pipephil: PATENT BRUYERE 1925 175: shape # (modified bulldog) Ao: Bruyere PATENT N° 1130806/15 (1924-1926) ENGLAND5 : 1920+5

Jesper, Thanks for the information. I did some more research and examined it more closely with a good magnifying glass. The suffix is a 6. I also found REG NO 654638 at the bottom of the stem near the tenon. Looks like it is a 3/4 Bent Billiard Bruyere produced in 1926.

The bowl height looks to be just under 2 inches tall. The inside diameter is around 13/16"

A truly magnificent gift, I'd say. Here's a shape 151 from 1923: (Nicked from John Loring's homepage)

Been working on the pipe since yesterday. Gently reamed the bowl and packed it with damp coffee grounds last night. Cleaned the stem with Micro Mesh sanding pads (3600 - 12000 grit), Brebbia pipe and stem polish and Obsidian Oil. Buffed with my Savinelli Polishing cloth. A couple of small areas on the stem still shows slight discoloration but that's in the area of the Registration Number stamping and I didn't want to chance damaging the stamping. Letting it sit overnight and will load it with an English Blend tomorrow afternoon.
