There has been a Box Pass going around for a while. I would like to open it up to the US members here who may be interested in participating. The concept is fairly straight forward. A box of many different pipe blends will be sent to those on the list in order of application to join this activity. At present there are 4 people involved, so circulating a box among the same small group becomes a tad boring and onerous. I have the box at the moment and, without counting, there must be close to 100 blends in it. So, how does it work? 1. PM me your name, address, phone number and email address 2. when you receive the box you are invited to take or try whatever you like. 3. you can keep the box for 2 weeks before sending it forward to the next person on the list 4. Add something to the box 5. when ready to send ahead, contact me for the name and address of the next person
This a fun way to learn about many blends and share with your fellow pipers. Let me know if you're interested or have any questions.. I'd like to finalize the list by May 6. Below is a shot of the box that I opened this morning. Believe me, there is something in there for everyone.

John, I would love to join in on this but since I don't have the tobacco to share it wouldn't be fair.

johnr, there is so much stuff in the box that weeding it out a bit would be a good thing. PM your info to me and I'll put you on the list. This is about sharing. Frankly, if we don't get more participants this may be the last go around.

People, this box pass is a wondrous thing. You have the opportunity to sample a wide variety of blends without having to buy them first. It's a great way to learn about tobaccos, to learn about what you like, and to help you make better choices regarding what to buy.
You just need to be able to put up the cost of shipping the box forward, which is about $18.75. I was one of the original contributors to the box a year ago, and the variety of blends available has grown to an impressive array.
So take advantage of this opportunity and resist being chumps!

Although I participated in the TPC Box pass not too long ago, I'd like another go round at some point in order to try some that I passed on the first time, and to contribute more to the variety of the box. Let me know if you need my info again...

The hardest thing for me with the box pass was finding enough time to sample tobaccos within the window of time I posessed it, even with culling some out.
I put in 8oz. Of Peter Heinrich's dark Strong flake that I had just received...after the box departed I realized how much I love that smoke.
Helping to supply the contents is half the fun...I am going to send Tim (Rsuniv) a message today,he is the Godfather of the box...I will update if he answers.

Good, Charlie. Once we get sorted out on the "new" list I'll get the show on the road.

OK, right now we have 7 people participating. Plenty of room for others to join in the fun.
