Does C&D have a blend anything like HH Old Dark Fired? Given that i asked about comparing ODF and GH Kendall Kentuvky a while ago, and in all the enthusiasm to convince me to buy more tobacco, nobody mentioned a C&D, I suspect not. But, gotta ask. I smoke so much C&D stuff, might as well find another to buy from them.

Five O’clock Shadow would be the closest to my knowledge.
Va with dark fired. It has some Perique in it as well
Not as strong as ODF, IIRC but a nice DF blend.

I smoke so much C&D stuff, might as well find another to buy from them. They have made blends with good dark fired but none currently I can think of are like ODF. Their Sansepolcro Small Batch with Italian dark fired florets was great and full flavored but was differing in being some red virginias mixed with the dark fired. |

Burley Flake #5 is the closest I have tried by C&D to compare to ODF. It is not as full bodied, full flavored, or rich as ODF, but the Dark Fired Kentucky is definitely evident in Burley Flake #5.

Thanks for that link trailboss. I have some of that tobac. Not bad, but not as rich and full flavored as ODF, I thought.. Thank you all for the suggestions. That's what makes this a great forum. |

I have never tried the C&D dark fired, have a few pounds of McB on hand though... it has been a few years might be time to head to the barn.
