I don't mind em turning grey near as much as when they depart, or reemerge where they are not required especially when they come in grey.

I often get a fright when I spot this old unkempt codger in the reflection of a shop window....and then realising IT's ME ...and the reflection is lifesized and in colour. "Look at that fat bastard inside that shop ...no, wait... He's not inside, I know him". Scary.

The only time i see myself in the mirror is when Im putting a razor to my head. 2 1/2 months ago I went from slick faced to not shaving at all. The few times ive shaved my head with no mirror... i left some spots 😆. From no facial hair to a mediocre beard... riddles with dark brown, red, and white hairs. Ive earned it.

I once made the mistake of shaving my beard off in late September; after being out in the sun all summer, the upper half of my face was tanned and the lower half was chalk-white. Looked strange, so back on went the facial hair.

Im now committed to mine for the same reason. I do construction and remodelling and my face is tan already.
I made that mistake one time when i got lazy and didnt shave my head for a few weeks.

I see an old man with hair down to his shoulders and a full white beard and say to myself damn you look as old as dirt.
