When I first opened the pouch I was greeted with mineral smell of clotted blood and the acidic undertones of fish past it's prime with a minor element of general rot that initiated my gag reflex. After fishing out a bowlful and lighting it is when the true beauty of this blend is showcased! The sour notes from the mackerel heads combined with the dark rich clotted blood flavor from the cod livers is just divine! Halfway through the bowl I had my first vomiting episode and much to my surprise it was much later than I would have thought due to the age of this blend. The key players of mackerel heads and cod livers is gently supported with the addition of bream roe as a condiment. The room note will have all but the those with a hearty stomach running to the bathroom with mouths a frothing. Overall 3 barf buckets out of four but can easily become four with some direct sunlight and a few more days to ferment!

I see what you did-- "chum" as in fish bait. Well done. I've smoked (not for long) cigars like that.

Roy Scheider an Richard Dreyfuss are screaming for more chum to get Jaws off of Robert Shaw's head. I think their bigger boat didn't work out

Just for the record it is a nice simple smoke that I did enjoy.

Add some back cavendish it should help mellow the fish and sweeten the barf after taste.

I understand they’re going to release an aromatic version at the Chicago show.

Sure add some molasses and it'll smell just great.

Sure add some molasses and it'll smell just great. I think a Lakeland addition would work well.
