I wish I had a few to sell. The only cards I have are paying cards. How much will you give me for the 4 of hearts?

When I was a kid I had the entire Baltimore Orioles team baseball cards from about 1967 to 1970. We used to put them in the spokes of our bikes because it sounded cool. I think my mother ended up throwing them away even though I told her I was "saving" them. I have about a 100 or so of other players I collected as a kid. I didn't really collect them but every time you bought a 5 cent pack of gum they came with it.

I still have all of my baseball cards from the 60's and 70's...likely about 6,000 cards. But I actually LOOKED at all of them, on a fairly regular basis. They're not all wrinkled up, but the edges are not "perfect"...so my assumption is there's not much value there.
It was quite the experience to ride my banana seat bike up to the Stroh's ice cream parlour in the first of the 70's...plunk some pocket change down for a couple packs of cards (which smelled SO good with that stick of bubblegum in there)...and a few Bubs Daddy bubble gum ropes. (only old guys will remember those). Then I'd hurriedly sift through the cards to see if I'd gotten any Detroit Tigers...oh the excitement of it all. Seems like yesterday.

Yup, It was a lot of fun to be a kid back then. I also collected coins and it was quite common to get Indian head pennies, buffalo nickels etc in change. We could also carry our B-B guns just about anywhere with no one even looking twice.

I had the entire Baltimore Orioles team baseball cards from about 1967 to 1970. I guarantee you I've still got the entire Orioles team from one or more early 70's seasons. I had "all 660" cards from one or more years...and I used to know everyone's name / team / position by heart. Baseball was my jam.

I collected in the late 80s early 90s before switching to comic books. I had tons of repeats as I could never bring myself to trade any of them. My favorites were Donruss '88 Rick Sutcliffe and Andre Dawson both on the Cubs.

I collect autographs and Beatles memorabilia... sometimes the prices people are willing to pay just blow my mind...

I collected baseball cards in the mid-80s. I too knew every player, statistic, etc. I’m also a lifelong Mets fan (since 1981). My folks were divorced, but my mom and dad would take me to Shea (not together). Those were some great times. The Mets should’ve had a dynasty, but it wasn’t meant to be.
This was a good topic.
