Sometimes when I'm sitting in my chair smoking a pipe my mind wanders and I never know what I will end up thinking about.My wife says my mind wanders all the time anyway.This morning I was sitting in my chair smoking my first bowl of the day.On the table next to my chair was an ashtray,a TV remote with numbers,and a digital clock with numbers.Before I knew it my mind was thinking of numbers..Have you ever just stopped and thought about all the numbers involved in getting along in this high tech world in which we live today?

I had a thought the other day while driving.. Signs. People need instructions to get a mile in this country and god forbid they not be properly informed as to the location of the nearest KFC.

And even the biggest computers make it all work with just 1's and 0's.
I work in construction and remodeling so numbers, fractions and angle's are what i see every single day. My favorite part of the day is when I get home, load my pipe and work in my garden.

Sometimes I find numbers running through my head and I don't even know why. Maybe it's from 7 years I spent working for an inventory service in my youth. This usually has when I should be going to bed.

NOT a kindle Pipe smoking goes well with a good coffee that you make yourself... not a double fizz whiz bang extra shot of wangiedang that you get from dark sky with clouds mega coffee chain.. Pipe smoking by it's very nature forces one to relax and take a break from the daily goings on in life Pipe smoking will slow down the hectic pace of life while one finds the happy place that a good bowl of tobacco takes you while smoking. |
