My wife was in town today and ended up at a couple of yard sales. Knowing it's my birthday next week and how I love pipes, she grabbed me a whole box of them. While I haven't had time to sort through them yet, I recognize a few just from the pics ... DRG Omega, Kaywoodie, Medico, Longchamp, etc ... Some have the stems and some do not ... lots of research and cleaning for next week!

Thanks, gents! Mark ... I'll find out who made that one tonight and let you know. BTW, the pipe-rest bowl that top pipe is sitting in says "Dunhill, Made in Italy" on the bottom.

Also found ... Hardcastle, Comoy, Kaywoodie, Medico, Grabow, Longchamp and others with nothing but country of origin or no markings.

That Longchamp must be the leather clad pipe. I have a Hardcastle, and it is a really good smoker. Interesting history. pipedia.org/wiki/HardcastleThewife did well, they look like they are all in pretty decent shape. I took a lunch at an antique shop yesterday...all I saw was heavily abused briars that were priced ridiculously. There was a cased Bulldog meer with a gold band and nice looking gold band around the rim....the only problem, the stem looked like it busted in half and it was taped together....They only wanted $55.00...

I too am looking for some fixer-uppers to practice my restoration skills on. Any ideas as to where to find them?

Wow! Grats, Darin. Also, it would be cool to see a bigger pic of the bike in your profile pic

That's a lot of miles...is that typical for a bike like that?

It is ... Goldwings have very reliable, large engines. I've heard of guys getting 200,000 to even 300,000 miles.

Here are four I picked up this weekend, sadly, my wife did not buy them for me.
