Up until today I was using my zippo. I walked out yo the shed and realized I left it inside. I didnt feel like going back in so I looked around and found a pack of matches... I'm pretty sure the zippo is now going to be replaced. What was it that got you thinking of replacing the zippo? Z

I love pipe lighters and have had many over the years. I’ll buy a Zippo and use it until it needs to be refilled. Then I go back to using Bics. My dad introduced me to Swan Vestas, but they’re not always practical.

Grocery store safety matches here. The longer ones. Not cool I know, but they work.

The "soft" light of the matches seemed to work better for me instead of the bigger flame from the zippo (I have a few normal ones and 2 pipe ones). I still carry a zippo with me everywhere. It goes in my pocket along with my pocket knife every morning.

Matches almost exclusively. Bic if it is too windy to manage a light with matches. Always have both on me. I'm with Don on this one.
