Good evening from Greece, we had rain this afternoon here in Athens. In memory of Cretan Elias Spadidakis, or as he was known, Louis Tikas, he was staged a statue in the town of Trinidad, Colorado, USA. Luis Tikas was murdered by the Colorado National Guard on April 20, 1914, during the long labor strike at the Rockefeller mines in Ludlow, near the town of Trinidad, south of the state. The official unveiling of the statue is scheduled for June 23rd. The unveiling will be accompanied by events, while the day will be honored with declarations by the State of Colorado and Denver City.Tonight i raised a glass of wine and a bowl of Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic in my corn cob for my fellow countryman. Woody Guthrie: Ludlow Massacre

After jarring up some aged Stonehaven, that I received in the mail today, I decided to place the scraps of the bags into my Dunnie Canadian, that I'd been smoking aged Stoney in just last night. Welp, the bowl is all smoked up and the golf course is a callin my name ;-) ttfn

Wish I could read that letter. Now smoking the venerated Edgeworth Slices in a 1984 medium bend black grain etched Savinelli Non Pareil 9310 poker with a horn ferrule and a black vulcanite stem. Have enough for most of a bowl. A bottle of Cheerwine made with pure cane sugar is my drink. Busy day so far. I plan a visit to the archives later this month or early next month and I'll ask if it's possible to get a photocopy of the letter or take a photo of it. If yes, I'll post it here. What an amazing world we live in!

It's actually a nice evening this evening. So I'm in the back garden with my wife a glass of gin and diet 7up and, more importantly, macbaren cube in a mm country gentleman.

That would be awesome! I really can't see why it shouldn't be possible. I have all the relevant file nos. for the Brakner files; correspondence, flyers and photos; I'll write the municipal archive and tell them when I intend to visit and they might even have the files ready for examining when I get there.

So, I have my Sav Dolomiti 320KS filled with burning Penzance. Was tough being patient, but waiting for the Kentucky Derby was worth it. @10furlongs to thank, and I hope he put money on his choice. My picks for win place and show stopped to have tea down the stretch and are hoping my horse from yesterday's Kentucky Oaks will finally make it down the stretch to join them.
I have always put off saying anything about a tobacco I have not tried. So, without being a hypocrite I can say this is so unique I can't describe it in comparison to other tobaccos. It's got a smooth flavor like no other. The King Charles is a good neighbor to it, but KC can be categorized. I cannot put this tobacco in any box or category. It has the undertones of English, of course. But those undertones are just part of the overall. No harshness. Oh, and looking at those perfect slices was awe inspiring. I opened the tin while they were singing My Old Kentucky Home, by Stephen Foster, a song that tugs at my heart. I may have to start a diary with an entry like this. Just to remind me what every future smoke will be waged against. A jug of water here. That's my story. Mark picked Justify. A solid win. Congrats, my friend
