Had a rare lunchtime pipe of Drucquer & Sons Blairgowrie in the same Willmer I smoked this morning. Got a busy afternoon with chores. Wondering how I managed to do all this stuff when I worked.

Just got home from work, headed to the garden with a fresh cup of coffee and a pipe full of Peter Stokkebye - Optimum in a no name pipe that started off my pipe smoking, and money consuming, "hobby."

... that started off my pipe smoking, and money consuming, "hobby." I know. This adventure does consume money. Even a free pipe is not cheap.

Smoking Cult Abacus in my new solid blue Big Ben Nautica 108.
I have developed a strategy to prevent to much "ghosting" of flavor. I use my colored pipes, by Nautica and my blue Pipo, also by Big Ben, for aromatics. I hope to get a few more.
The briar colored briars get all the rest.
My cobs are for quick and dirty fun and for fishing and boating, where I don't have to worry about losing a more expensive pipe. And also for first time tastings of new tobacco, a new cob is just the thing.

Just lit a bowl of Nightcap. Havent had it in several days and ...man... I missed it.
The Optimum was a decent smoke but I wasnt really impressed. It taste the way a black and mild cigar smells.
I've been trying different blends, I've came to the conclusion that English blends suit me best. I'm also looking for something more robust (I guess you'd say) for the early afternoons.

Enjoyed an excellent chicken parmesan dinner and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of MacBaren HH Burley Flake in a 2002 medium bend smooth Rinaldo EGEA 03 Silver line spigot 10 with a black acrylic stem. Watching the Red Sox-Yankees game while making hate ail packages.
