Now smoking the last of this tin of McCranie’s 1983 Red Ribbon in an unbranded '70s Charatan smooth straight Billiard with a black vulcanite stem. It's been delicious!

Love that pipe, Peter. A rugged but elegant piece.

Smoking some H&H Concerto in an old Davidoff I have smoked for years. And I learned something. The advantage of having many favorite tobaccos, or at least several, is that you can come back to old favorites and reminded why you liked them.

Puffing some GH&Co. Louisiana Perique Flake in a London Castle rustic bent billiard, bought it at the Chicagoland Pipe Show from Iwan Ries for $32. Looks like new, and now is smoking great. I may take some pictures tomorrow.

One thing I love about this thread is the diversity of tastes in pipes and in tobaccos. And not just between all of us, but even within each of us. The range is a lot wider than I ever expected.

More H&H Concerto. This time in a Savinelli Pietro 626 rusticated. A beautiful easy to smoke easy to carry pipe, easy to look at pipe. Not an artistic statement, but a quiet, conservative, get the job done and get out of the way pipe.
I gravitate towards pipes that are understated, and don't draw attention. I rely on my four color plaid blazer to do that. LOL
Well that ain't exactly true, I have a parcel of churchwardens. And I don't have a plaid blazer. I smoke in a ratty old bathrobe.

Last smoke of the day is Peretti Blend W in a 2001 Karl Erik Ekstravagant A medium bend with a pointy bottom and a wide top with a black acrylic stem. Have enough left for a bowl or so.
