John Bull Royal English has earned some kind reviews over at TR. It sounds like a fine, mild English - and since it is sold by the pouch, perfect for a cob on-the-go. Are there any fans of John Bull Royal English at the Briar Patch?

I believe there are a few. I was going to buy some when P&C had it for about 3$/pouch. Then the price doubled. If you want a surprise English, try Super Value. @jiminx gives it high marks - in its category, Value Blends (my words, not his). I think it holds up well overall. My main complaint is that it is the only one Super Value does not sell bulk.

I have had John Bull and enjoyed it, but the blend I am talking about wasn’t Royal English... I think it’s just called John Bull.

I tried the John Bull, wasn't a fan, anyone who wants the remainder of the pouch I received? If you do, PM me, I will send it out to you!

Smoking thru a pouch that scrooge sent me right now. I enjoy it but it is nothing to worry about finding or tracking down. Mild English is spot on.

Ithink it was trevorrace that was big on this blend a few months ago. He might have a more nuanced opinion of it.

For me it is a mild English of decent quality. I smoke much stronger English blends any more, so it is not my cup of tea. I think it could be a good introduction for someone not used to Latakia or someone who prefers a milder English.
