IRC still had a ton of MCC, Butera and Nording left so those of you who missed out can probably still order from them (although they would only sell to people who came into the shop when MCC announced its closing Mostly aromatics left on the MCC.) It was a limit of 10 at the the show. I saw Mary Mcneil back stocking the IRC booth in the morning so they might have brought the whole lot to the show to sell through IRC. They also sponsored a limo ride to the shopping mall on Fri for those without wheels.

Wow John! Those Savinelli Autographs are amazing. Very nicely sized compared to some of their pipes from the past. Congrats to you and all the others that were able to go to the show and get some goodies as well as do some great window shopping.

Those are some great acquisitions. I said it last year and I’ll say it now: I’m going to be in Chicago next May.

Wow John! Those Savinelli Autographs are amazing. Very nicely sized compared to some of their pipes from the past. Congrats to you and all the others that were able to go to the show and get some goodies as well as do some great window shopping. The Autograph Mignon line was introduced a couple years ago. Clenchable and reasonable sized bowls. The price point of the fully blasted ones is actually quite reasonable. The Autograph Mignon line does not get grade classified like the larger sized Autograph line does. The Autograph Mignon is just broken down into classifications of smooth, partially blasted, and fully blasted for pricing. Laudisi held a special Savinelli event late Friday afternoon. Luca (sp?), Savinelli's export manager was there from Italy. The event included hor'deurves and a door prize drawing. There were about 75 pipes displayed and the lowest grade there was a Punto Oro Gold. The new product announced at the show is that they’ve introduced Giubileo d’Oro pipes with colored stems now. During the main show, they were also showing the new Oceania series which has a nice blue swirl stem. After finding out about the 20% event discount and the reasonable MSRP, I stopped trying to decide between the two and got both. A couple bowl s in each so far and loving them.

The UPCA Slow Smoke contest...
Our friend Les (in the blue shirt) (lestrout)
Scottie Piersel defending her crown
Les out at 52 min.
I left after Les went out because I had about 6 hours of driving not counting supper, fuel and rest stops. So I don't know the final results. I'm sure someone does

The UPCA Slow Smoke contest...
That’s me in the first picture. Red shirt with pony tail on the left in the middle below the U in UPCA. Too bad I didn’t run into to say “hi” in person.
