Smoking Pipes has it for sale now:$57.46 for a pound, $18.49 for the 3.5oz tin and $10.22 for the 50g tin. Got some coming. Going on your review and @darin's positive comments.

I'm holding out until SP can fill the rest of my order list, currently on back order. Any reason why I should rush?

Smoking Pipes has sold out of the one pound boxes. But, they'll have more before long, I figure.

Smoking Pipes has sold out of the one pound boxes. That's an impressivve sell through rate. I have a large tin, but it will be a little while before I get to it. Sounds like it will live up to the hype.

I'd be interested to learn that, too.

They are now out of both tin sizes as well. This stuff must have been pretty good.
I'll just sit and wait now.

My predominant impression is how smooth it is, consistently from bowl to bowl. There is a hint of sweetness that lingers on the edges and it is quite pleasing. The Dark Fired might be the glue holding this blend together, subtle but substantive. There is nicotine present and though somewhat nic sensitive, it does not bother me. By the same token, I don't think any but the most hardcore would feel the need to amp it up. I smoked 3 bowls in a row yesterday without getting the spins. As I opened with, at bowls end, it is 'durn' smooth.

Wanted to add: There have been several prior posts of smokers having trouble with flakes and I have found this to be the least fussy flake I have ever smoked. Even with moderate dampness (as received), it fired right up and had an excellent burn rate. Definitely recommended for anyone beginning to explore flake tobacco.

Agreed ... the thin flakes rub out easily and need very little dry time. Smokes well as a cube cut also but seems more flavorful rubbed out.
