I wish I could...I would need a reverse of the Wizard of Oz to happen for me to be able to attend.
I hope it's a great event.

Hopefully they keep the shower heaeds at the Argosy hotel, Brian really raves about them.

Getting a pipe from Scottie is worth it alone. She makes some of the best looking pipes I have ever seen.

Ha I'm sure they could have made a lot of money selling the blend rights to a big company like STG, etc. But it wasn't about the money.

Can't make it this year, but I'm planning ahead for next year. My son and his family live in Overland Park, ironically only a few blocks east of Cigar & Tabac. I know where I'll be spending some time on my next visit!

Ha I'm sure they could have made a lot of money selling the blend rights to a big company like STG, etc. But it wasn't about the money. As I understand the situation, they retired / closed shop, partially because they could no longer get some critical components for their blends. Farmers were not processing any of their tobacco in specialty ways, as they had in the past. Thus, since they could not get the components, they could not make their blends without compromising the blend.

Emailed this to an old pipe buddy who made the tragic mistake of moving from AZ to MO. Sadly he has fallen victim to the health insurance premium scam of nicotine swabs treating all tobacco users as cigarette users. So, he's given up the pipe, waiting for retirement.
