What is the difference between a regular Falcon pipe and a Falcon Hunter pipe? Is it simply a brand name? Are bowls interchangeable?

Fits the stems back to the early 1970s at least, where my experience with them began... has a gasket that makes a tighter fit, but they worked fine for me without it way back when...

Frank Valentin (stvalentine) is the Falcon expert here. He has a large collection of them and a great deal of knowledge about the brand. I haven't seen him here in a while so I sent him an email. I hope he chimes in.

The Patch is the least Falcon-centric site I have encountered. Used and mentioned, but not all that much. I have some and DRG Viking's, assorted bowls and frames, but don't seem to smoke them that often.

Are there any metal pipes that seem to be better than the others? Years ago I was tempted by Kirsten pipe advertising that promised the coolest smoke possible, never pulled the trigger. The closest I have is Ernie Teaford's Jet Air pipe, as you can see, I haven't smoked it yet.

The aluminum Knob at the end of the pipe is a cleanout plug, that bottom chamber is suppose to trap all the nasty goo. The silver disc is a valve, after lighting the pipe, you are suppose to dial it open a bit to regulate the airflow. Screw in tenon with a stinger. Ernie died a few years ago and his family put all the remaining stock on Ebay. pipesmagazine.com/forums/topic/split-level-jet-air-pipe-by-teaford-ernie

There's even a picture of JimInks smoking one in the instruction manual. That guy gets around.
