Not only my first handmade pipe, but it was deftly crafted by fellow Pennsylvanian and forum member- your very own slowroll ! These pictures do not do this pipe justice. It looks like a piece of living wood. Like a rare breed of poisonous flower plucked from a deep dark, fogged Carpathian wood and then dipped in glass. I absolutely cannot wait to smoke this pipe! Well Done, Steve! . . . . . . . My index finger actually fits up to the knuckle and that's maybe 2/3rds to the bottom. Me and this pipe are gonna do some real damage to my cellar! Over the next couple days I'll update here and let ya know how she smokes as she is broken in (for those of you who are interested) What will the christening tobacco be? |

OOps. Top one is a HCA by Stanwell, not a custom pipe. Thought it was the small cauldron that Kirk made for me.

UPDATE I have smoked the pipe a few times now. I have burned two bowls of Esoterica Dunbar and two bowls of McClelland 221b Arcadia- Taking care to allow the pipe proper dry times between smokes. So far, the pipe has performed remarkably. Truly a sublime smoker. I can honestly say this pipe is as perfect in function as it is in form. Something I am proud to display on chin and shelf. haha Don't hesitate if you have been considering commissioning your own.

Be sure to load that bad boy up with Virginias. A tall bowl like that will really make them sing! Great looking pipe.
