Good article, but reading the section on burley, it leaves the impression that cigarettes are made mostly with burley, which until recently I thought that was the case. I, as well as you, always believed that cigarettes were mostly burley. I still do, pending further investigation on my part. I'm sure that Brian Levine knows a lot more than I do, but still not 100% convinced about it.

Cig's are most certainly mostly Va ... a very low grade, bottom of the barrel Virginia.

Canadian cigarettes are exclusively Virginia tobacco - no Burley or orientals at all.

Yeah, there are some real weenies commenting.... the author(s) gave an excellent response that should have settled the matter, but the force of the temperance movement was strong with some of them guys. |
